Well that was fun. Tuesday I called BT and after 90 minutes, 4 differing excuses finally got through to the lines team. Now there's nothing wrong with my line according to the lines team - suprise. However tonight the things dropped 3 times already and has an upload in excess of the download - by about 200 odd k. This is no doubt due to turning off interleaving as was mentioned. I called back Friday, had a moan and they are of the opinion I am being slowed down. Slowing down a 740k connection man alive thats low BT.
I'm off for a mac code, basically BT will do nothing and have stretched out the whole process beyond all belief. They can stick it.

Here we go again
Hey up! Well happy new year and I thought I'd kick things off with another BT moan. Over the last week the old connection has gone down to 576k-610k. We'd stayed with BT as the connection stabilised at roughly 1100k pre-xmas and then 1056 afterwards. With the new bras profiles we got 900k-1meg most fo the time and therefore decided that we'd see how things went. Sadly this was not to last, last weekend, things got slow and then monday the reason was discovered a 576k conenction speed and a final return to the days of 512k for myself.
The issues been logged again, we have a UK phone number to contact the Edinborough office, these guys were pretty good last time, it's just a shame that BT goes out of their way to stop people from calling an actual body based in the UK as the people in the UK BT does employ are on the whole pretty good, especially that Scottish office - a couple of years ago they sorted my Max connection out after one phone call, no messing around, a brief recap of the issue and a few questions. So we live in hope.......
